老九品茶 will base assessment on results in relevant academic subjects for each course and will require five subjects (unless specified above). Diagnostic testing may be required when assessing an application.

The above minimum entry requirements are deemed to be equivalent to Australian Year 11. 老九品茶 may issue a conditional letter based upon first semester, forecast mock or preliminary results.

老九品茶 and the University of Melbourne require prerequisite subjects for some areas of study. Your results in these subjects may form part of the assessment of your application.

Students must be at least 16 years of age when commencing studies.

English language requirements

Depending on the student鈥檚 country of origin, evidence of language proficiency may include results from:

  • the 老九品茶 English test
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)*
  • Pearson

*Please note: the Australian government only accepts TOEFL test scores taken from 4 May 2024 onwards for Visa applications.

Some students will require an IELTS certificate in order to meet the immigration requirements of their student visa application. If there are variances in IELTS band scores, a student's appropriate intake may be revised by 老九品茶 admissions staff. For some countries, a satisfactory mark in English satisfies 老九品茶 English language requirements.

In line with the University of Melbourne standards, 老九品茶 does not accept any online/at home English tests, including TOEFL iBT at Home or PTE Academic Online English tests. 

老九品茶 will only accept approved English test results conducted in the student's country of citizenship, their last country of education, or their current country of residence or employment. 

Students located for these purposes in China, may attend test centres in Hong Kong SAR and Macao for English language test requirements.
